These economic times call for creative thinking and the Library has a great idea to help curb expenses for this year’s prom. Find that perfect prom dress by swapping one from your closet during the Lincoln Parish Library’s “Great Dress Swap” on Thursday, March 8 from 6PM to 8PM in the Library Events Center. No registration required. The library is collecting dresses for the exchange now through March 7.
Buying formal attire for each and every special occasion in a young girl’s life can be so expensive. This exchange offers an opportunity for girls to swap beautiful dresses with one another without paying another dollar for a dress. Obviously, dress donations are needed to ensure this event is a success. Dresses should be in like-new condition, on a hanger and preferably in a cleaning bag. Patrons may donate dresses, shoes, jewelry and/or accessories. The library will also accept donations of items from those not wishing to participate in the swap. Those without a dress to exchange should feel free to come and take a look.
