Welcome to the magical and whimsical world of the Lincoln Parish Library Children’s Department! The Children’s Department, a world of imagination and discovery, is located directly across from the Check Out Desk.

Our dedicated and creative Children’s staff aims to help children and families to develop a love of reading and learning through a robust collection and an ever changing roster of events and classes.

Monday

  • 4:00 PM - Rookie Readers Club - Fun, crafts & projects.  K-3 Changes to 2:00 PM in June
  • 5:00 PM - Online Research Help - Ends in May, restarts in September
  • 6:00 PM - Family Movie Night

 

Tuesday

  • 10:30 AM - Family Reading Adventures - Stories,  finger-plays & simple crafts. Ages 0-5.
  • 4:00 PM - Reading Circle - Children receive prizes for short readings. K-6 2 PM starting May 30.
  • 4:00 PM - Betwixt & BeTween - Fun crafts & projects. Ages 9-12.
  • 6:00 PM - Family Reading Adventures - Stories,  finger-plays & simple crafts.

 

Wednesday

  • 10:30 AM - Wacky Wiggles Wednesday - Music & movement to fun songs. Ages 0-5.
  • 4:00 PM - Beyond the Book - For Betwixt & BeTween. Explore a classic & do projects based on that novel. Ages 9-12.

 

Thursday

  • 10:30 AM - Family Reading Adventures - Stories,  finger-plays & simple crafts. Ages 0-5.
  • 4:00 PM - Family Crafter-noon - Listen to a book, make related craft. Ages 4-12. Changes to 2 PM in June.
